Fishermen shoot down Satelites

The Selkirk Fishermen scored three first-period goals and then added another in the second to defeat the North Winnipeg Satelites 4-1 at the Recreation Complex on Sunday.

Logan Saluk, Kasen Andrushko, Dawson Bergagnini, and Carter Courchene scored for Selkirk.

Theo Courchene and Izzy Aime each had two assists in the game.

Logan Ashe had a goal for North Winnipeg.

Jordan Armstrong made 18 saves for the win.

Last Friday, Selkirk beat the Warriors 4-3 in St. Malo.

Ryland Schroeder netted the game winner on the power play in the third period.

The Fishermen’s other goals came from Matt Brooks, Peyton Moneyas, and Julius Guimond.

Guimond, Moneyas, and Brooks each finished the game with two points.

St. Malo goals were scored by Jeremie Collette, Ben Dias, and Reece Unrau.

Jordan Armstrong stopped 25 shots for the victory.

Selkirk, in first place in the six-team league with 47 points, will play at the Lundar Falcons Saturday (7 p.m.) and then host St. Malo Sunday (3 p.m.).
