The Selkirk Fishermen defeated the Beausejour Comets twice in Capital Region Junior Hockey League action last weekend.
On Sunday, the Fishermen doubled the Comets 4-2 in Selkirk.
Aaron Meger and Kasen Andrushko scored to give Selkirk a 2-0 first-period lead.
After a scoreless second, Nikolas Bear cut the Fishermen’s lead in half early in the third.
But Logan Saluk scored to regain Selkirk’s two-goal advantage before Beausejour’s Evan Leeson scored with 1:19 late in the third.
The Fishermen’s Matt Brooks closed out the scoring with an empty-net goal.
Logan Moskal made 28 saves for the win.
Last Friday, the Fishermen doubled the Comets 6-3 in Beausejour.
Carter Courchene had a great game for Selkirk with a hat trick while Jordan Donald was also very good, scoring a goal and adding three assists.
Raymond Hefferman chipped in with a goal and an assist and Peyton Moneyas also tallied.
Andrushko added a pair of assists.
Beausejour goals came from Tanner Amos (two) and Mason Dubberly.
Fishermen goaltender Marcus Sharpe made 28 saves for the victory.
Selkirk, now 2-1, will visit the Arborg Ice Dawgs on Friday (8 p.m.) and then host the North Winnipeg Satelites Sunday (3 p.m.).
