The Selkirk Fishermen scored a lot of goals in two games last weekend.
In fact, 18 of them.
Selkirk capped off an impressive weekend with a dominating 9-0 home win over the North Winnipeg Satelites at the Recreation Complex on Sunday.
Nine different Fishermen scored goals.
Kyle Folhoffer led Selkirk with a goal and two assists while Ryland Schroeder, Matt Wagner, Theo Courchene, Izzy Aime, and Carter Courchene each chipped in with a goal and a helper.
Logan Saluk, Kasen Andrushko, and Raymond Hefferman also tallied.
Logan Moskal made 22 saves for the shutout.
Last Friday, Selkirk hammered the Ice Dawgs 9-3 in Arborg. The Fishermen came out flying, building period leads of 3-0 and 7-2.
Andrushko had a fantastic game for Selkirk with three goals and two assists.
Saluk, Gage O’Neill, Matt Wagner, Theo Courchene, Carter Courchene, and Anthony Bruyere also scored for the Fishermen.
Hefferman and Matt Brooks each had three assists in the game.
Arborg goals were scored by Michael Crave (two) and Mark Hamrlik.
Selkirk’s power play was on fire, finishing 5-for-10 while Arborg was 2-for-4.
The Fishermen outshot the Ice Dawgs 45-28 as Marcus Sharpe earned the win.
The Fishermen, now in first place with 12 points, will visit the St. Malo Warriors on Friday (8 p.m.) and then host Arborg Sunday (3 p.m.).
