The Selkirk Fishermen battled the Beausejour Comets to a 2-2 tie in Capital Region Junior Hockey League action last Friday.
Beausejour’s Aidan Ticknor and Selkirk’s Guy Rozin traded power-play goals early in the game and then Ticknor tallied midway in the period.
Selkirk’s Julius Guimond closed out the scoring at 12:51 of the opening frame.
Fishermen goaltender Owen Derewianchuk stopped 28 Comets’ shots.
The Fishermen played at the North Winnipeg Satelites this past Tuesday but no score was available.
Selkirk, currently in first place with 13 points, will visit the Arborg Ice Dawgs on Saturday (7:30 p.m.) and then will host the Lundar Falcons Sunday (3 p.m.).
